Cem Özkök was born in İskenderun in 1960. Following the completion of his high school education in Turkey, he received his undergraduate degree in 1977 from Hamburg University and graduated from the Management Engineering department in 1984 from the same university.

After his graduation, he entered his business life at Özkökler A.Ş. in 1984. Thanks to his international experiences, Cem Özkök promoted consecutively from Project Manager to Vice General Manager and Executive Board Member at Özkökler A.Ş.

Cem Özkök who has experiences in project management, energy projects, industrial construction, tenders and partnerships, joined Güriş Holding in 1993.

Cem Özkök focuses on geothermal, wind and hydroelectric in Güriş Holding, as one of the leading renewable energy company in Turkey, but also responsible for business development in Group’s companies as Executive Board Member. In addition, Cem Özkök continues his professional career as Hydroelectric Power Plants Industry and Businessmen Association (HESİAD) Executive Board and the Chairman of Executive Board since 2017.
