Hakan Yıldırım is the deputy general manager responsible for the geothermal and oil exploration business areas within Sanko Energy. At the same time holds the presidency of Turkish Wind Energy Association. He served as the chairman of DEİK Energy Business Council in 2019.

Yıldırım started his career at Aselsan in 1998. He then worked as a field engineer in natural gas pipelines, combined cycle and coal power plant projects at Gama Power Systems. He started to work as a project manager at Siemens Turkey in 2005, separated from Siemens when he was Siemens Gamesa Chairman and CEO in 2018. He served as CEO at Kalyon Energy Investment Inc. between 2018-2020. He is an electrical and electronics engineer graduated from Middle East Technical University with an MBA from Bogazici University. Mr. Yildirim is married with two daughters.
