Birol Ergüven was born in Ankara. He completed his bachelor degree in 1993 and master degree in1996 his at Middle East Technical University in mechanical engineering department. Since 2011, he has been working as CEO in Limak Energy Group, aside from his position in Limak Energy Group he is a member of the board of directors in Limak Investment A.Ş., Hamitabat Elektrik Üretim A.Ş., Yeniköy Kemerköy Elektrik Üretim A.Ş., Limak Uludağ Elektrik Parekende Satış A.Ş, Limak Enerji Europe (Bulgaria) ve LC Energy Supply Trading (Serbia). He is also a member of the board of directors in Energy Traders Association, Solar Energy Investors Association, vice president and member of board of directors in Foreign Economic Relations Board.
