Adil Tekin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and an Executive MBA from Middle East Technical University (METU) in Ankara.

He began his professional career at the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT) in 1992 as part of the compulsory service requirement of his university scholarship program.

Between 1993 and 2006, Tekin held various positions within Siemens Turkey’s Power Generation Group, including responsibilities for business development in Central Asian markets and management of the hydropower plants business unit.

From 2006 to 2015, he held several senior positions at Alstom in Türkiye, including President of Alstom Turkey, Head of the Power Sector, and Regional Sales Director.

Tekin joined Sanko Enerji Group as CEO in December 2015 and served in this role until January 2020, when he was appointed Chair of the Board of Sanko Enerji Group.

He has been a member of TÜSİAD since 2011. In December 2013, he was awarded the title of “Chevalier de l’ordre national du Mérite” by the French State.

He currently serves as a Board Member of Sabancı University’s IICEC (Istanbul International Center for Energy and Climate) and as a member of the Advisory Board of SHURA Energy Transition Center.
