Dr. Babak Keivani is a Senior Energy Analyst at SHURA Energy Transition Center.

Prior to joining SHURA, he served as Energy and Projects Leader at Olgun Çelik. With a career
spanning academia, industry, and research institutions, Dr. Keivani has held academic positions
at universities and worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Ege University.
He has taken part in numerous national and international projects supported by TÜBİTAK and
European programs as a researcher, project coordinator, and expert. He has published in peer-
reviewed national and international journals, presented papers at scientific conferences, and
serves as a reviewer for reputable academic journals in the fields of energy and environmental
sciences.

Combining his academic background with application- and policy-oriented work, Dr. Keivani
focuses on developing innovative and practical solutions that contribute to Türkiye’s energy
transition and sustainable development goals. He is an energy expert and project manager with
nearly 15 years of experience in energy technologies, energy investments, energy analysis and
management, renewable energy, hydrogen, carbon management, Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCUS), and sustainable industrial transformation.

Dr. Keivani received his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of
Tabriz, his Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Energy) from Ege University, and his
Ph.D. in Energy Technologies from the Solar Energy Institute at Ege University.
