Volkan Ş. Ediger, scientist, writer, bureaucrat. After graduating from the Middle East Technical University, he received his PhD from the Pennsylvania State University in 1986.

Ediger’s career consists of simultaneous tasks in industry, government and universities. He obtained his industrial experience at the TPAO Research Center in 1977-1998, where he served as expert, manager and consultant for various national and international R & D projects.

He was the first official Energy Consultant of the Presidency of Turkish Republic, he got the opportunity to work with three presidents from 1998 to 2010. His academic career started at ODTÜ in 1976-1977, at Penn State University in 1982-1986, in ODTÜ in 1987-2010, and at İzmir University of Economics in 2010-2011. She has been working at Kadir Has University since August 2011.
