
Korkut Öztürkmen
Korkut Öztürkmen currently serves as the CEO and Vice Chairman of the Board at Energo-Pro Türkiye.
With over 30 years of experience in the energy sector, he has held several senior leadership roles in major Turkish and international energy companies.
From 2019 to 2024, Öztürkmen served as a Board Member and Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee at Aksa Energy, where he managed a 2,700+ MW operational generation portfolio and oversaw the development of over 2,000 MW of new energy projects.
Between 2019 and 2021, he held the position of Energy Group President and Board Member at IC İçtaş Energy Group. In this capacity, he led key operations, including the Trakya Distribution and Retail Company (7 TWh), the Yeniköy Kemerköy Lignite Power Plant (1,050 MW), and a 400 MW renewable energy portfolio developed in partnership with the EBRD.
From 2007 to 2009, Öztürkmen was the Country Manager of OMV Türkiye, where he directed the company’s entry into the Turkish energy market and contributed to major strategic initiatives such as the Nabucco Natural Gas Pipeline and renewable power projects.
Later, from 2009 to 2019, he served as a Board Member and General Manager of OMV Türkiye’s Power Business Unit, overseeing the development of the Samsun Natural Gas Power Plant (890 MW, €600 million) and implementing OMV’s global asset-based electricity trading strategy.
Öztürkmen began his career at Koç Holding’s Strategic Planning and Energy Group (1996–2007), where he played pivotal roles in the development and financing of strategic investments and privatization projects across the electricity, natural gas, and oil sectors.
A graduate of Robert College, he holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering from Boğaziçi University. He completed his Executive MBA with high honours at Koç University in 2002 and attended the ‘Power2Lead’ Senior Leadership Program at Ashridge Business School (UK) in 2013.
A former Vice Chairman of the Turkish Electricity Producers Association (EÜD), Öztürkmen continues to contribute actively to the sustainable growth and healthy development of the Turkish energy sector through his engagement in key industry organizations.
