He is working to help enable the country\u2019s transition to a low carbon economy.\r\n\r\nPrior to joining the ECF, between 2016 and 2018, Mustafa assisted Sabanc\u0131 University \u0130stanbul Policy Center, REC Turkey and G\u00dcNDER (Turkey Solar Energy Society) as a senior expert and project coordinator in their climate- and energy policy-related work. From 2006 to 2016, he worked for WWF-T\u00fcrkiye, initially as a program officer in sustainable water management and then as the lead of the climate and energy program. The nexus between climate and energy policies and the transition to a low carbon economy have been priority focus areas in his professional work throughout the last decade.\r\n\r\nMustafa holds a major degree in International Relations and a minor degree in International Economics from Middle East Technical University.
