Rafet Yağız Çalışkan works as a Junior Energy Analyst at SHURA Energy Transition Center. Çalışkan graduated from Istanbul Bilgi University Energy Systems Engineering Department (in English) with an honor degree in 2021. He wrote his undergraduate thesis as a feasibility study on the application of the carbon capture and storage system to the city of Izmir.  In his post-graduation period, he contributed to the engineering literature by publishing his thesis under the name of “Direct Air Capture System: A Feasibility Study for Izmir” in the British journal “International Journal of Sustaniable Energy”. After his graduation, he worked as a thesis advisor assistant. Simultaneously with his working life, he will continue his education in the academic field with a master’s degree.
