Mustafa Serdar Ataseven

He was born in 1973 in Ankara. In 1996, he graduated from Karadeniz Technical University, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. In 1999, he completed his master’s degree in Ondokuz Mayıs University, Institute of Science and Technology, Electrical-Electronics Department. In 2008, he graduated from Anadolu University, Department of Business Administration. In 2019, he completed his PhD in Ondokuz Mayis University, Institute of Science and Technology, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. He worked on microprocessors, automatic control systems, wind turbines, wind energy and renewable energy.

Since 1997, he has worked at construction, energy, foreign trade and mining sectors as a senior at family-owned companies. Between 2007-2011, he worked at Ataseven Enerji Üretim A.Ş.-Epuron GmbH, Turkish-German 10 joint venture companies as a chairman of the board.

Following Renewable Energy Law in 2005, in order to implement his past experience about Wind Energy, in various parts of Turkey he and his team have developed 2 projects of 170 MW in 2006, 10 projects of 570 MW in 2007, 41 projects of 1.675 MW in 2015, totally for all 2.415 MW, applications have done to Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA). In addition, under YEKA process he and his team have developed 23 wind power district of Turkey in 2017.

Between 2014 and 2016, he held as Secretary General of the Turkish National Committee of the World Energy Council (DEK-TMK) and Executive Board Member of the Organizing Committee of the 23rd World Energy Congress.

He has been at Turkish Wind Energy Association (TWEA) Executive Board for 10 years, between 2009-2011 as a Secretary General, between 2011-2019 as a Chairman of Executive Board.

Dr. Mustafa Serdar ATASEVEN is married and has 2 children. He has still been working as Chairman of ATASEVEN Group of companies and member of the Advisory Board of SHURA Energy Transition Center.
