Project Assistant

Ceren Demirel works as a Project Assistant at the Shura Energy Transition Center. Demirel graduated from Istanbul Bilgi University’s Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities in 2023, with an honor scholarship specializing in International Relations, complemented by a minor in Sociology. Alongside her studies, Ceren displayed a deep commitment to social causes, interning at renowned institutions like the Istanbul Policy Center, where she honed her research and organizational skills. Ceren is also a founding member of “6 Şubatlar,” a creative initiative fostering solidarity post-earthquakes in February 2023, showcasing her ability to mobilize resources and engage in effective brand communication for charitable endeavors. Before joining SHURA, Ceren worked as a Jr. Editor at the Fanon & Piccolo, magazines focused on popular culture and activism.
